Shiloh sets a high standard if you are looking for a herd sire with a different pedigree, powerful genetics, and a phenomenal spread between birth and yearling. It is safe to say he is one of the most exciting bulls to be sold this spring! An extremely athletic, smooth-moving bull, he carries himself like a champion. As you study the data, it is clear that, not only does he have the correct phenotype, he also has the performance and pedigree to set the breed on fire. Starting with his moderate, 82 lb birth weight and a 0.8 BW EPD, he explodes to a 45 Weaning EPD (Top 5%), a 94 Yearling EPD (Top 1%), and a 44 Total Maternal (Top 6%). Moving to the ERT's, his CED ranks in the Top 20%, HPG in the Top 4%, CETM in the Top 1%, and Stay ability in the Top 20%. It has been said that it takes a great cow to produce a great bull. Flo-Marie 185 was that great cow! Now deceased, she was productive into her 16th year and had an MPPA of 108.6. Flow-Marie has been a cash cow for us, and has several daughters in production in the SRR herd. Heavy Load has loads of natural muscling and has that stylish phenotype for which Flo-Marie is known. Sire Brown Vacation is famous for producing easy calvers with great carcass ability. Heavy Load is high on our list as a sire to use in our herd. We will collect him for our own use before he leaves this spring.

This powerful, eye-catching, broad backed son of Make Mimi, is a tremendous herd sire prospect as he is totally complete any way you look at him! He is thick, he is deep, he is powerful! Starting with his moderate 84 lb birth weight, 0.5 BW EPD, 106 weaning ratio and 103yearling ratio, he is a powerhouse. His tremendous EPD's are hard to beat: Top 20% CED, Top 10% WW, Top 7% YW, Top 22% Milk, Top 7% TM, and Top 10% CETM. His absolutely gorgeous, wedge-shaped, perfect uddered dam, has a 46 WW EPD (Top 2%), an 84 YW EPD(Top 1%) and a 42 TM EPD (Top 7%). Her pedigree traces back to the Tam cow line, a line know for fertility and longevity. 087’s 2006 bull sold for $3500 to Gary Weibert, CO. What was I thinking to not start the sale with Atlas? He is not for the faint of heart. Atlas is perfect example of meat and muscle. Check out his growth, weaning ratio of 109 and yearling ratio of 111. Atlas will make a herd sire prospect for someone that likes growth and capacity and doesn't mind a little birth. Dam Ione 131 is a home raised Wide Spread daughter with Glacier Maris and EBV 3531 on the bottom. She has earned an MPPA of 103.1. Ione 131 is the maternal grand dam of Lot 8. Atlas EPD ranking bears pointing out: EPD rankings WW Top 7%, YW Top 2%, Milk Top 5%, HPG Top 1%, TM Top 2%, Stay Top 5%, Marb Top 35%, REA Top 15%.
